the AG as a nonresident executive presbyter.
After pastoring for 33 years at San Diego First AG, he
began a church consulting ministry, Journey of Hope, which
offers wisdom to churches and pastors in difficult situations.
He is a frequent contributor to Today’s
Pentecostal Evangel and Enrichment.

Dr. Gannon has served as an AG home and foreign missionary for 30
years. He has pioneered churches in California, New York, and Israel.

Mark Hausfeld

Dr. Mark Hausfeld was the 2007 J. Phillip Hogan Professor
of World Missions at AGTS. He currently serves as area director
for Central Eurasia, leading all AG World Missions (AGWM) efforts
across the ten nations of Central Eurasia. In addition to administration
and strategic leadership, his missionary work has ranged across
a wide variety of activities, from teaching in theological schools
to opening drug rehabilitation centers to leading relief and
development work to facilitating short-term missions teams for
college students. Before entering foreign missionary service
in 1992, Dr. Hausfeld was a pastor in Chicago, serving as associate
pastor at Southside Tabernacle before planting Maranatha AG.
He also served on the Chicago Commission for Human Relations.
Dr. Hausfeld has served as an adjunct faculty
member at AGTS since 2002 and teaches an annual class on Intercultural
Urban Ministry in Chicago that exposes students directly to urban
missions in the United States. He is a frequent speaker at conferences
around the world. Together with his wife, Lynda, and Ken Horn,
he is the author of Silk Road Stories: Amazing Tales of God’s
Work in an Ancient Land (Onward Books, 2005). He recently contributed
a chapter, “Ministry in Hostile Areas” to the book
Java and Justice: Journeys in Pentecostal Missions Education,
edited by B. Brenneman, W. R. Brookman and N. Muhovich. (North
Central University Press, 2006).

A recognized authority in church leadership and management, Dr. Ming has served with
distinction as the first director of the AGTS Doctor of Ministry Program, and as a
pastor, district official, missionary, and educator. He is a former professor and
vice president for academic affairs at Northwest College of the AG,
and is a frequent contributor to various denominational publications and a popular
teacher and preacher in camps, churches and training events. |

M. Annette Newberry
Visiting Professor of Church History and Missions

Under appointment with the Assemblies of God World Missions, Dr. Newberry served as a missionary/educator in Malawi, Africa, Jamaica, West Indies, and Belize, Central America. In Malawi, Annette was Director of Women’s Ministries and member of the Malawian Literature Committee. Passionate about providing instruction relevant to the local culture, she has been involved in curriculum development, writing of syllabi, and production of educational materials for use by teachers in Malawi, Jamaica and Belize.
Dr. Newberry has taught at Evangel University, Asia Theological Center for Evangelism and Missions, the Caribbean School of Theology and serves as an associate professor (adjunct) of Bible/Theology for Global University. Presently, she teaches Pentecostal and Charismatic Movements and Assemblies of God History and Polity at AGTS. She has a particular interest in the contributions that women have made to the Pentecostal Movement.
Annette has written articles for several denominational publications; coauthored the coursefor Global University, Assemblies of God History, Missions, and Governance;
and recently written a textbook, A Call to Commitment: the General Epistles, designed for use in African Bible Colleges.
Teaching and preparing students for ministry is her passion. She is especially interested in helping students understand their Pentecostal heritage in order to meet the challenges of the future. |

S. O’Dea

Dr.
O’Dea brings to AGTS a wide range of experiences
in ministry, having served at multiple staff churches as both
an associate pastor and as a teaching pastor. She has an extensive
speaking and teaching ministry at retreats, seminars, district
events and churches. Dr. O’Dea specializes in small
group ministry and team leadership development. She currently
serves on the Commission on Discipleship for The General
Council of the AG. |

Lois Olena

Involved in numerous avenues and positions of church ministry since her youth, Dr. Olena brings a broad spectrum of ministry experience to her role as D.Min. project coordinator, writing instructor, and editor of Encounter: Journal for Pentecostal Ministry at AGTS. She has published Holocaust curricula and poetry, a chapter on the history of AG race relations in the book We’ve Come This Far: Reflections on the Pentecostal Tradition and Racial Reconciliation, and also the official biography of Dr. Stanley M. Horton (to be released April 2009). She also teaches courses in Jewish Studies and Theology at Evangel University. |

Theological Seminary resident faculty, Dr. Spurling is a pastor,
conference speaker and church consultant. He is also an accomplished
