Yes. Our ratio of female to male students is increasingly among the highest for seminaries in the United States.

What are the admission requirements?

Candidates for admission must have been born again for at least 3 years, display evidence of a dedicated Christian life, and possess the following educational background: A Bachelor's degree in any field from an acceptable 4-year college, with a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 system. Persons with GPA's lower than 2.5 may request consideration for admission on academic probation. Can I prepare for chaplaincy by attending AGTS?

Yes. AGTS is an excellent preparatory seminary for Chaplaincy. It is one of very few that even offers a specific Military Chaplaincy concentration within the M.Div. and D.Min. programs. Chaplaincy Scholarships are available for resident students who intend to serve as institutional, occupational, military or Veteran Affairs chaplains. Visit the Assemblies of God Chaplaincy Department Website for more details.

Yes. A variety of courses are offered in the evening Monday through Thursday.

Can I get scholarships or financial aid?

Yes. Three scholarships are available for New Resident Students (learn more about scholarships). The Presidential Honors Scholarship requires a GPA of at least 3.5, strong leadership skills, and high aptitude for ministry and is an automatically renewed annual award of $3,000. The Ministerial Merit scholarship is an annual award of $2,000, also automatically renewed, requiring a minimum 3.0 GPA, leadership skills and aptitude for ministry.
