Can I prepare for chaplaincy by
attending AGTS?
Yes. AGTS is an excellent preparatory seminary for Chaplaincy. It is one of very few that even offers a specific Military Chaplaincy concentration within the M.Div. and D.Min. programs. of God Chaplaincy Department Website for more details.

Can I get scholarships or financial

The Credits-Based Grant Program is available for new resident students. Applicants must have submitted an application for admission, recommendation forms and college transcripts to the Enrollment Office. Applicants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Grants will be disbursed each fall and spring to reflect the amount of credits taken ($2000 for full-time or $750 part-time enrollment). The seminary reserves the right to make changes to the scholarship program as deemed necessary and without advance notice.
Full-Time Enrollment Grant—$2000 Per Semester
Part-Time Enrollment Grant—$750 Per Semester
Does AGTS offer on-campus housing?
The seminary does not own or provide housing, but there are many apartments and houses
for rent in the city. The Enrollment Office produces a local housing list for students
seeking accommodations. Students are encouraged to seek housing early. There are approximately
28,000 students attending 14 educational institutions in the Springfield area which reduces
