Missions Focus with Dr. Johnson,
Missionary to Thailand, January 29-February 1, 2002
Dr. Johnson
is a graduate of Northwest College and AGTS, and has served in Thailand since 1986. He
is currently working on a Ph.D. program in anthropology, on the study of Thai leadership
at the University of Wales through the Oxford Centre for Missions Studies.
Dr. Johnson currently serves as the program director for the Institute of Buddhist Studies and
is a member of the Committee on 2/3 World Mission focusing on the non-western Assemblies
of God mission movement and its role in bringing the Gospel to least reached people groups.
He and his wife, Lynette, have two daughters, Laura and Rebecca. Dr. Johnson is serving as the
Missionary in Residence at Northwest college for the 2001-2002 academic year.
His humble winsome personality, his brilliant mind and his passionate commitment to presenting
the Gospel to those who have not yet heard is extraordinary.
