AGTS Press Release: AGTS Welcomes Director of Enrollment Management

Springfield, MO—Rev. Mario H. Guerreiro joined the AGTS team July 7, 2003. Mario is an ordained minister with the Ohio District of the Assemblies of God. Over the past ten years, Mario has served a number of churches as senior pastor including, most recently, Sullivan Christian Church in Sullivan, Ohio. Prior to receiving his call to ministry, he was employed with a Fortune 500 computer-manufacturing firm in roles ranging from compensation analyst to project manager.

For the past nine years, Mario has also served as director of admissions for Ashland Theological Seminary (ATS), Ashland, Ohio. In this capacity, Mario was responsible for development of an institutional marketing plan and implementation of strategies to achieve enrollment goals. In addition, he oversaw the services and operations of the Office of Admissions with a special emphasis on technology implementation. Under his leadership, ATS enrollment grew by 267%.

Mario serves as the chairperson of the Association of Theological Schools SPAN (Student Personnel Administrators Network) committee. In addition, he has served the association by participating on the race relations task force.

Born in India, Mario grew up in Mozambique, Africa, and is fluent in Portuguese. He and his wife Holly have been married for nineteen years. Holly has worked in higher education administration for the past twenty years and was the assistant director of public relations at Ashland University. They have two children, Natalia (18) and Miguel (12).
