Dr. Billie Davis
Teacher • Author • Missionary
 |
"I was always a curious kid," Billie Davis is often quoted as saying. That curiosity fostered a desire to learn and teach others as a result. Billie encountered Christ as a young girl and committed to be open to whatever he had in store for her. Her journey began as a migrant peddler which spurred a desire for education that led to a Ph.D. Along the way countless lives have been impacted through her desire to teach others and model Christ. Billie's remarkable life story "I was a Hobo kid" was first published in the Saturday Evening Post in 1952 and opened doors for thousands to hear her message.
Underlying Billie's story are the qualities of faith, determination and a love for Jesus. Those very qualities we aspire to see perpetuated in future AG ministers. It is for these and countless other reasons that AGTS seeks to honor Dr. Billie Davis as a Pillar of the Faith. This initiative will establish an endowment in her name that will provide scholarship assistance to future servant leaders. |
